[Castor-users] castor-users mailing-list migrating to a new Discourse forum

Dear CASToR users, 

You should have received an invitation email to subscribe to a discourse forum (please check your spam folders if this is not the case). 
You can also directly register to the forum: https://castor-project.discourse.group/ 

The current mailing-list will soon be replaced by this forum. There are two main reasons for this change of service: 

- Having a more consistent support, as the castor-users mailing-list got disabled several times without notification. 
- Facilitate searching for answers to a specific issue in the discussion archive. 

Subscription to the forum is required to continue posting/receiving new messages to/from the community. However, visiting the forum will not be mandatory as each category also contains its own mailing-list. In order to configure your account to use the forum as a mailing list, you will have to enable the "Enable mailing list mode parameter" in your account Preferences/Emails settings, and save changes. Once this parameter is set, you can write an email to [ mailto:castor_project+general-discussions-5 at discoursemail.com | castor_project+general-discussions-5 at discoursemail.com ] . It will be automatically sent to all the forum subscribers who enabled the mailing-list, and create a new discussion in the forum. Answering to this email will also create follow-up posts. 

The previous mailing-list will be closed soon, so the [ mailto:castor-users at lists.castor-project.org | castor-users at lists.castor-project.org ] email will no longer work.
