Hi,

Several errors seem to have occurred when you ran the script. First, I would recommend downloading the latest CASToR version, which should not be bothersome as you've only started using CASToR.
About MPI, will you actually use it (do you actually have several computing machines)? Starting with OpenMP is maybe better for the first tests.
The input CASToR datafile .cdh does not seem to be found: if you specify only the name of the file, the file must be located in the folder from which you launch castor-recon, otherwise if you run castor-recon from anywhere, you should provide the absolute full path to the file.

Best

Marina

Objet : [Castor-users] CasToR Benchmark test

Hello everyone and CasToR team,

I am just a beginner for using CasToR, so I have a simple question
(maybe there is a better mailing list for my question).

I have CasTOR v.2.1, compiled with a Make file under Linux Mint
with an MPI flag. I try to run a benchmark PET-benchmark-histogram v2,
and I get the following error:

==============================================================================================
Reconstruction is going on. Should take from one to several minutes depending on the hardware.
==============================================================================================
sOutputManager::InitOutputDirectory() -> Output path is 'benchmark_pet_histogram_challenger'
castor-recon() -> Launch reconstruction from CASToR version 2.1.
sScannerManager::BuildScannerObject() -> Start building
sScannerManager::InstantiateScanner() -> Instantiate the scanner geometry structure
iScannerPET::Instantiate() -> Create scanner structure and read parameters from configuration file
sScannerManager::GetGeometricInfoFromDataFile() -> Look for acquisition specific settings into datafile header
sScannerManager::BuildLUT() -> Generate the geometric Look-Up Table
iScannerPET::BuildLUT() -> Build LUT for scanner elements coordinates and orientations
sScannerManager::Initialize() -> From scanner PET_GE_SIGNA_PET-MR
iScannerPET::Initialize() -> Initialize remaining stuff for scanner to be ready
***** oImageDimensionsAndQuantification::CheckParameters() -> Should provide a strictly positive number of threads !
***** The following error message was issued by MPI instance 0
***** castor-recon() -> A problem occurred while checking image dimensions parameters !
***** Exit function called. Abort with code 1.

==============================================================================================
Check benchmark results (compare reconstructed image with the reference one)
==============================================================================================
***** Input header file 'benchmark_pet_histogram_challenger_it2.hdr' is missing or corrupted !

Could one help to find the reason for this error and how to fix it?
I am not sure that MPI is really on. is there is a command to check with witch flags my CasToR
compiled?

Best,
Fedor
